The student-owned label that got Bella Hadid’s attention
After starting a Depop shop in her first year of a Chemistry degree at King’s College London, Asal Tehrani began a small empire, sourcing, reselling and remaking vintage pieces for her fast-increasing fanbase. However, demands for the perfect vintage items were too high so Tehrani began to introduce original designs using inspiration from the oh-so-popular style she already had established. By only reusing deadstock materials, Terhani’s brand SusaMusa is an amazing ethical business for those wanting a 90’s inspired style.
Although a small beginning, Bella Hadid bought and wore a set from the depop shop in its early stages and catapulted the business to new heights. Now SusaMusa has a website – although can still also be found on Depop - and recognition as its own label. Bella Hadid is also still a fan, wearing 5 more SusaMusa outfits, taking SusaMusa to international popularity!
Here is a selection of some of my favourite pieces from the collection:
The Bella set
Of course beginning with the original set worn by and subsequently named after Bella herself, almost always sold out and absolutely gorgeous, you may struggle to get your hands on it but it of course it had to be mentioned for its intricate design and 90s silhouette.
The Cyra dress
I love everything about this dress! The V neckline is so flattering and the lace design is perfect for a holiday, layering over a black set for a seductive style loved by supermodels!
The Gina top
The Gina top is so perfect for everyday - your 9am lecture, at the pub or visiting your grandma! It is super comfy and gives a vintage edge to a basic.
The Nova set
This is another beautiful set for all your Pinterest inspired outfits! It comes in a range of accent colours but I love the striking red version!
