Small Business Showcase: Knotty Notts.

Starting as a lockdown venture in February 2020, Independent, handmade craft hustle ‘Knotty Notts’ offers bespoke macrame plant hangers of various colours, materials and details all handcrafted in the heart of Nottingham. These can be a nice gifting option if you are after something well-made and unique, whilst supporting a small brand, and enhancing the decoration of your home! Given their handmade nature, they are reasonably priced and well within gifting budgets for friends and family starting from £15, and due to the being handcrafted, the colourway and style can be commissioned and altered to tailor to the consumer's taste or to match the interior of their home. Currently this is my favourite colour way that Hannah has made recently:

This is also a much more sustainable option for those of you who struggle to find planet friendly houseware, featuring no plastic, locally sourced materials, packaged in paper bags and due to their local nature, they will not have to travel far to get to you!! Although Knotty Notts has no physical store, in peak gifting season, owner Hannah takes part in many independent craft markets, especially around Christmas, alongside other creatives selling homemade decorations, food and locally crafted gift stalls.

I think plants really change the atmosphere of any room and what's amazing about plant hangers is that they allow the plant to be on the walls of a room or a door instead of taking up shelf or surface space, and they look so lovely!

For Christmas, I was lucky enough to receive one of the plant hangers from Knotty Notts, I love that mine is a neutral colour as I have lots of black and white prints to match the material colours! Here is a picture of the one I received:
