Finding truly sustainable brands is easy!

A common problem with sustainable fashion is that many brands label themselves as working sustainably when quite often they are not and, until recently, I really struggled to find brands that were truly ethical in their practices, especially in larger scale companies such as high street retailers. However, I came across an app called 'Good On You' which I have been using to search the brands I was unsure about and to help me research into more planet friendly businesses, and help promote a better fashion industry. The app also offers guides, using regular informative posts helping you to shop more consciously and with the right retailers whilst helping you to spot greenwashers in the industry.

Their website and app is easy to navigate, with a search tool which can locate brands and instantly shows their rating alongside their price point. This is super useful for finding out which of your favourite brands are trying to make a positive change towards lowering their environmental and ethical impact.

Each brand has its own sub page which explains what they are doing to be more conscious, and what they can do to improve aspects of their operations, for example it goes deeper into individually rating their animal, labour and environment which helped form their overall rating. This can be really beneficial as it covers more aspects than are normally shown on brand websites. The example I have used here is Stella McCartney which has had a very positive impact on creating a greener industry, this is shown in their higher rating.
